Max Dmitrieff is not afraid to bare his soul and put out music that's not in the mainstream mode. He adds his own spin to old-timey topics with a guitar-focused sound carrying them down the road toward new creative pursuits and fresh music. From his slightly world-weary voice and quirky melodies to the gentle pulse of his fingerstyle guitar, Max’s songs feel like a refuge. His performance is direct, confident and never showy. It gives his audiences an almost other-worldly feel that may remind you of the Jim Jarmusch films. Fancy the early Tom Waits' jazz-school chord changes and Sting's vocal chops all living under the same roof, and you start to get an idea of what to expect from this Italy-based artist.
